what kind of camera do you use to film this?
Looks just like the Sony HX1.
I used a Canon EOS 7D with 18-200 IS lens.
Looks just like most superzoom cameras – Olympus, Sony, Pentax, Panasonic, etc. They all look more or less the same.
What kind of storage does this camera use?
SD Cards?
question: i’m looking into purchasing the Nikon Coolpix p100 but still looking around for cameras (especially digital SLR with detachable lenses) within a $400-600 price range. i really want something with HD (1080p) video and this looks great. should i go with it or something else, like maybe the sony HX1?

Are you asking about the 7D I used to film this or the Nikon Coolpix P100? The P100 uses SD memory cards as do pretty much all compact digital cameras now.
We don’t have the Coolpix P100 available for review right now. This video was made at a tradeshow with the Nikon tech VP showing us the camera. When and if we get a P100 for review we’ll try to get some video samples posted.

this camera look promising, I don’t understand why they didn’t fully articulated the screen though
can this camera merge three imagens in one to make panorama pictures? has this camera external flash intput?
if they had fully articulated the screen i would´ve definetely chosen this one over the canon Powershot sx20 IS…. but i´m having my doubts…. does anyone know which of them is bulkier?

Tomas, that is excatly the reason I’m torn between this Nikon and the Canon you bought. Do you love the Canon? That tilt-out screen is perfect for taking shots with my son. That’s insane to have it tilt, and not just go all the way out to be viewed from the front.
I’m going to explode, I can’t decide between this camera and the sx20.
