Sony VCL-E07A Wide Angle Lens Review

A Review on the Sony VCL-E07A Wide Angle Lens and a short how to make it a fish eye. I got mine for on ebay but at places like bestbuy its . For the price of i would give it a 8 out of 10 mainly because it could be built better. Saying that for the price of i would give it a strong 10 out of 10 because at that price you can afford to brake a few with out hurting your wallet. Sony tries to sell The VCL-HGA07 0.7x lens as an accessory for HD cameras for 200€, does this 10/50$ lens do the same job, even for HD cameras?

I’m trying to find a good wideangle lens for my CX520, there seems to be a lot of different options; generic lenses, cheap sony, expensive sony and now according to your video very cheap sony as well.

  • TeamVanilla:

I can’t find this lens here in the philippines.

  • hSkAtEr123:

    thanks realy helped

  • BlahBluBlu69:

why do you have to set the camera to 4:3 not 16:9

  • somerockenguy:

@BlahBluBlu69 because this lens is made for 4:3 and not 16:9. in 16:9 you get some blurriness on the edges

  • BlahBluBlu69:

is it like that for all cams and lenses?

  • somerockenguy:

@BlahBluBlu69 its for most of them. there are some lenses made for 16:9

  • MathSi21:

    wich camera do you use?

  • somerockenguy:

for this video a panasonic pvgs80 for my new one a sony dcr-vx2000

  • Skatevert97:

  • somerockenguy:

  • xRampageProductionsx:

    35mm Equivalent : 44-880mm (4:3 Camera Mode), 48 – 960mm (16:9 Camera Mode)
Does this mean that my camera has a 35mm thread size? because that is what is making it hard for me to find the right fisheye lens for me.

  • xRampageProductionsx:

    35mm Equivalent : 44-880mm (4:3 Camera Mode), 48 – 960mm (16:9 Camera Mode)
Does this mean that my camera has a 35mm thread size? because that info is what is making it difficult to find the right lens

  • somerockenguy:

@xRampageProductionsx no thats saying the camera’s lens zoom capability its self is the same as a 44-880mm lens on a 35mm camera or a 48-960mm on a 35mm camera.

look for the number before a circle with a line through it that will be your filter size. if you dont have that then you probably dont have filter threads

  • brokenboardsmedia:

i have the sanyo e2 and it has no threads curently i have a clip on wide angle lens im going to purchase this on ebay and glue gun the 25mm adapter ring on my cam and use the lens with it. do you think it will work fine?

  • brokenboardsmedia:

@somerockenguy i mean a clip on wide angle that u squeeze and fits the scqaure shaped threads
